Matthew is the president and founder of Magneton and leads the R&D efforts in semiconductor device research and process development.

Matthew has 15 years of experience working in R&D in the optoelectronics and semiconductor industry. Prior to founding Magneton, Matthew led the design of next generation Geiger-mode and linear APD arrays for LiDAR. He has also worked on device design and III-V heterogeneous integration with silicon for highly integrated photonic integrated circuits and low-cost flash LiDAR systems. Matthew has expertise in device design and simulation, package design, as well as extensive hands-on fabrication and process development experience with a variety of materials including InP, Si, and III-Nitride semiconductors. Matthew began his career at Broadcom where he was involved in the development of InP optoelectronics. Matthew holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Villanova University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Lehigh University.
